SAMAI® chips come from only the best hand picked fruits, vegetables and roots from the Pacific Coast of Ecuador. Our small farmers hand-harvest them, we delicately slice and crisp them to perfection in non-hydrogenated vegetable oil, season them and pack them under controlled atmosphere.
Plantain Chips
Plantains are a variety of banana that are eaten cooked, steamed or fired. They are a staple food of many coastal towns in South America, Africa and Asia for its nutritional qualities.
Following a traditional Ecuadorian recipe, we golden crisp them and lightly season them to bring you a truly unique snack, great for outdoor sports!

Cassava/ Yucca Chips
The cassava (also known as yucca or manioc) is a tropical nutritious root. It is the staple food of Ecuador’s Amazonian communities. SAMAI® cassava chips come from only the best cassava roots grown in plantations outside the protected rainforest areas. They are processed fresh to preserve their nutritional qualities. Enjoy this delicious natural snack!

Tropical Vegetable Chips
SAMAI® Tropical Vegetable Chips are a truly unique snack. After handpicking the highest quality tropical vegetables, small batches are sliced straight into the hot pure vegetable oil and seasoned with Pacific sea salt, retaining all of their natural goodness.
